Debatica lets you put one question to several AI models, using API keys you bring yourself. This page explains, in plain English, what we keep and why.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your name and basic Google profile details (such as your profile picture) if you sign in with Google. We use these only to sign you in and identify your account.
- The debates you save: your questions, the models' answers, critiques, and the judge's verdict.
- Usage counts, such as how many debates you run and the token counts and estimated costs reported for each model call, so we can show you your usage and enforce limits.
Your API keys
Provider API keys you add are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. They are decrypted only on our servers, only to call the AI providers you choose for a debate. We never show the full key back to you or anyone else.
When you run a debate, your prompt and the debate content are sent to those providers (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI) and are handled under their own terms and privacy policies.
Who else is involved
We do not sell your data. We use a small set of service providers to run Debatica:
- Vercel, for hosting
- Neon, for the database
- Resend, to send sign-in emails
- Inngest, to run debates as background jobs
Public share links
Debates are private by default. If you turn on a public share link, anyone with that link can read that debate.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account or any of your data at any time by emailing russell.straub@gmail.com. We will confirm once it is done.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
